LIGHT THE SEASON is here!

LIGHT THE SEASON

Thank you to those who joined us on Sunday, December 3rd at 4:30 at The Little House for holiday refreshments, caroling and our tree lighting ceremony.  It was a wonderful event.  We hope you enjoy the beautiful tree as you drive into town.

You can continue to purchase tree lights for each person you wish to honor or remember throughout the month.  Their names will be added to the tree inside The Little House as well.

We’ve added a new feature this year.  A special ornament to commemorate the event will  be available to hang on your tree at home or give away to someone you love.  Ornaments are $10.00 each if you pick them up at the event or at The Little House between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Monday through Friday or $12.00 each if you wish to have them shipped to you.

Click on this link to print the form  http://southsidecommunityconnections.org/2017-lts-donation-form/   You can mail it back to us at P. O. Box 63, Groveland, CA 95321 or drop it off at The Little House at 11699 Merrell Road.  If the gate is closed you can put the form in the black mailbox next to the gate.

COOKBOOK

Southside Community Connections is publishing a new cookbook! The cookbook contains photographs featuring local points of interest and bearly 200 recipes from the best cooks in our community – YOU! The cookbook will be sold across the county and profits will be used to expand our current programs; The Little House, Village on the Hill and Wheels, and develop new programs, workshops and activities.

The theme of the cookbook is “Groveland Gourmet Cooks”. Recipes  fall under the following subjects: Appetizers, Beverages, Breads, Breakfast/Brunch, Desserts, Main Dishes, Side Dishes, and Soups/Salads. Talented cooks in our community were invited to send recipes to be included in our book. A select panel of judges is not determining which recipes will be included.

The cost is $15.00  http://southsidecommunityconnections.org/cookbook-order/

The books make wonderful hostess and holiday gifts, so why not pick up a few.

LEARN MORE

Founded in 1984, the Southside Community Connections (SCC) mission is to provide health, recreation, social interaction and lifelong learning experiences in a multigenerational setting to benefit active adults who live in Southern Tuolumne County.

SCC recognizes, respects and strives to meet the needs of adults in our community. We offer activities and meeting space for the youngest to the most senior adults, in a warm, comfortable and friendly environment. We rely on a group of dedicated and committed volunteers to be our ambassadors in the community and to help support our three primary programs.

SCC is a is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt non-profit organization, which supports The Little House, WHEELS and Village on the Hill programs, for the benefit of residents in Groveland, Big Oak Flat and surrounding communities.
