Based on the philosophy of “Neighbors Helping Neighbors,” SCC’s Village on the Hill serves adults over age 50 through various programs and services—enabling Village members to remain at home with safety, dignity and respect.

This locally developed program serves adults residing in Groveland and Big Oak Flat. Over 100 communities across the nation have embraced the Village model to support older adults who choose to remain in their own homes. Our screened and trained volunteers offer safe and confidential assistance with challenging tasks and lend friendly support through personal calls and visits. This program not only improves the lives of Village members, it also enriches the lives of our volunteers who lend their time and talent to Village program.
